Fish temp

My heater just broke I only gave to small ones and one that works once In awhile temp is problem around 70 and staying there with heaters running all day I can't buy a anchor 300 Watt till 17th question I wanna know is will cichlids be fine will they go into dormant slowness as. The bass do when lake freezes in winter

What kind of cichlids do you have? 70 is a bit cool, but generally they should be okay.

Until yesterday, my green terrors and jack dempseys were in an unheated tank with an ambient room temp of 72 and doing great.

Depends on the fish.

Specificity

African lakes don't freeze, not in any recent epoch anyway, so any comparison with tropical species are basically useless. That being said, they should be OK but twitchy heaters are just that and not to be trusted.
