Looking good! The male is a beast. I've got what I think is two males and a female growing out. I had them all together but the alpha male put a beat down on the other two. Right now they are each in separate tanks, but I think that I'll put them back together soon.

Have three males, the other two are almost as big as "the beast"
I have had them for four years, bought them at H.O.T....
Had a few problems with mine fighting but nothing lately, wonder how "the lady" is going to affect things???

How big are yours jon?

I picked mine up at ACA (two from Rapps, one from the auction from the show tank). They all are around the 4" mark, give or take. The alpha male is in my 180 with the big boys, so he doesn't push anyone around any more. The female (I hope) is in a 55 with some Rio Chahal grow outs and the other male is in my 75 with cons and cutteri. I think I'll move them all to the 180 here in a month or two and see how things work out.

Those are beautiful man. I was never a fan of those until just recently. I may have to take the plunge and get some.

I decided to try and introduce the female into my 75 with one of the males. This did not go well. The male waited all of about 37 seconds before chasing the female relentlessly. She took a pretty good beating overnight, so I had to move her back out. Maybe I'll let her get some more size on her and move her to the 180.

yeah jon and maybe a second female would disperse the aggression some, all is still well with mine but no breeding activity as of yet

Yeah... looking to try to get a few females myself, to see if I can get a more natural pairing. Lyonsi are certainly among my very favorite cichlids!

Can't wait to see the new vid, Pete!
