Alligator Snapping Turtle/Past Pres
As some of you may have guessed from Jose (F8LBITE)'s post about ideas for the 125, Jose and his beautiful fiance, Karen, invited Mike and I over last night to help him with his problem.... having a tank full of unbelievable large and colorful haps and peacocks.
While we were there, I snapped pictures of his Malawi stuff, as well as his superb discus and fledgling 50 breeder Tang community... not to mention his cat (that looks like a cartoon villain, btw). I'm going to throw the discus up on another "New World" thread.
Enjoy.
Sorry for the bubbles; we had the water drained down a bit to make catching the fish easier. Look at the color on the Bucco... ridiculous!
Ever seen a compressiceps this colorful? Not me....
P. johnstoni
T. intermedius
Exochromis anagenys - 7"-8" male
That bucco is sick-bo!
Note the *very* large Tanzanian spilonotus in the top right.
A super nice blue ahli....
A. beanschi - check out the hump on his head.
Unfortunately, I'm very bad at taking pictures of small fish. Here's one of the only shots that came out of his shellies.
And here's where things got fun.....
Jose's girl, Karen crackin' the whip.
Their cat... helping with water changes
Oh yeah, there were synos too....
All the fish arrived home alive and were put to bed after a large dinner for frozen krill. At this point, all fish are spoken for.
Thanks again Jose and Karen for inviting us into your home. You have a beautiful place, tanks, cat and Karen, you cook some mean chicken and salsa! You guys rock.
