[FONT=&quot]1. NANO = under ten gallons
[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]2. Medium = 10 to 29 gallons
[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]3. Large = larger than 29 gallons
[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]4. CARES -- must have fish that are on the CARES list
[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]5. Theme -- you choose the theme, like color, natural, Rift lake, CA, etc.

The Aquarium Beautiful Contest was a great way to show off what fishkeeping is all about to the general public. It's free to enter, there are lots of classes and prizes, so give it a shot a represent for the club.

The contest is for fresh water tanks only. Maybe sometime in the future we will expand to salt water. Thanks for the thought, though.

I have two tanks and stands that are earmarked for the libraries in Rockville and Gaithersburg (but they can't take them) yet: a 72bowfront and a 40B... anyone want to enter them in the Aquarium Beautiful?

Use a bookshelf or night table. That's what I'm using for my nano set-up!

Check with Frank, but I think the smaller tanks can go on the built-in that is in the lobby. Last year they had a great area for the smaller tanks. You did not need to have a stand.

You don't need to provide a stand for small tanks. The hotel has a permanent fixture that can accomodate a bunch of small tanks (incl 10s).
