So i got a 2028 from a fish auction in AR a while back. it needed a new impeller and now i've got it running agin but its got a leak at the tope seal. I had purchased the impeller from the interwebtubes but i was wondering if there were any places around here that may carry eheim parts? i need to cop a few more bits(the seals for inside the filter) and I'm thinking about getting new plumbing for it. any ideas or thought are apreciated

You'll get robbed buying Eheim parts at an LFS

I have ten Eheim canisters in various sizes/models and replacement parts are brutally expensive - if money is no object it won't matter but Big Als and/or Foster's & Smith and/or Ken's Fish will save you serious money if you're buying anything more than just a gasket set. As far as your head gasket, take it out, lighty boil it in water for 10 minutes and when the water cools dry it off, lather it with vaseline or generic/CVS petroleum jelly and it should work if it's not too dry and/or cracked (just make sure there's no crud in the channel where the gasket seats) - it's worked for me on more than one occasion. One can smetimes also find new but inexpensive Eheim canister replacement gasket sets on Ebay in the Buy it Now listings as well.
