This is what I do. Print the ad from the cheapest place you can find it online, go to Petsmart, show the online ad and they will honor it. Since Petsmart prices are always high. Just make sure the store actually values online competitors.
I have always meant to try this but heard some dont do it. So I guess I have just been to lazy to try. Ill have to keep that in mind next time.

I tried to get Petsmart to "match" Petco's sale price on aquariums and they wouldn't do it because the tanks where not the same brand. Petsmart sells Topfin and the sale tanks at Petco were (I believe) were Aqueon (sp). Which is the better tank?

Now Petsmart only matches THEIR Online prices. Petco doesn't match anything even their online prices. Petsmart chnaged their policy last summer. I think the Dr Fosters Aqua clear fiasco had soemthing to do with it. For those that don't know soem one found a old prefix code for AC110's on Dr Fosters website that dropped the prince to under 50 bucks. The pre-fix code also worked on several different items.

I guess the policy is different from store to store or dome managers realize a discount is better than no sale....... Scatch that my local store has been giving me the shaft. Their policy dictates that they will match any online regular price. No eBay or auction sites and no sale prices. Knowledge is power I should have
