Driftwood

I just bought my first pieces of driftwood. I have started soaking them in a bucket. How long should I let it soak before putting it in my aquarium?

All depends if you mind the tannins in your water. Some pieces will take months to leach out all the tannins, others just a week or so. Hot/boiling water speeds up the process.

If you are keeping fish that enjoy softer, lower pH water, the tannins are a good thing. In any case the wood should be okay to go in your tank now.
