Dirted 10 gallon

What you see here is my daughter's 10gallon dirted tank, I want to give a big thanks to Jen Williams for basically giving me plants so I could make this happen. Thanks for looking and hope you guys enjoy. Any suggestions for this setup?

Rams will eat your shrimp.

If you're not dead-set on cichlids, gouramies can be really entertaining and they tend to appreciate planted tanks. You could get a nice sized group of pygmy sparkling gouramies in there, and a school of celestial pearl danios, Axelrod rasboras, or chili rasboras.
