DC water and some Virginia water going to chlorine for 6 weeks

Boo, wish this had been earlier this year! This has never impacted our dechlor process either, but where we had it impact things was in cycling our new tanks. The issue was that when the nitrites got really high and we wanted to change water to bring them down a bit, the chloramine effectively meant we were putting more ammonia into the tank to make even more nitrite -- meaning water changes actually make things worse. Would have been nice if this happened about 6 weeks earlier!

(Eventually solved this by doing water changes using tank water from a seasoned tank that had already processed the chloramine, but the two-step process was a pain. Although the mbuna in the source tank really liked the daily water changes. Super party mating time!)
