As I was shutting down the lights in the fish room last night, I noticed that my pair of cryptoheros spilurum were all colored up and chasing others in the tank. Upon closer inspection, there were a handfull of wigglers down in the gravel! Hopefully they are still there when I get home tonight and I can save a few to grow out.
Funniest part is that I was talking with both Matt and Zach on separate occasions over the weekend at AM2 about the spilurum and how they didn't appear to be doing much of anything except hiding in their tank. I lost one of the females I had over the weekend, but had chalked it up to her being the weakest of the group and never looked particularly healthy. Guess the real answer was that she got too close to the nest.
If I'm lucky enough to have wigglers left when I get home, I'll post up some pictures.
