Corydoras spawning

In my 55, I have some Gold Lasers (CW010) and some Yellow Corydoras (C123). Neither have spawned while in this particular tank, over the last six months or so.

Tuesday, I moved the spraybar to increase the circulation in the tank. I also noticed that the Marineland Visitherm heater wasn't keeping the water at 73F; instead, the temperature had dropped to 70F. I tried to adjust the heater, but it appears the heater is dying and can't keep the tank above 70F.

The last two mornings, I've found corydoras eggs on the glass and on some plants. The eggs were mostly on the glass in the area where the water flow is strongest.

I don't know whether the temperature drop or the change in flow triggered the spawning. Or maybe it's a complete coincidence.

Here's hoping they're 123s. I'd say the trigger was a combination of both. My CW052s spawn whenever I add a powerhead to the tank.

Yes, I know, but I've usually done that through water changes, and I've not usually had the temperature quite so low for a prolonged period.

Maybe the heater issue and the spraybar move coupled with the cold weather that rolled in a few days back combined to put them in the mood.

Congrats on yet another spawn!
I'm not a fancy cory person, but I have had 2 remaining Petsmart (starter fish) albino cories for about 2 years in a 29 gal. Never knew their sexes, they never did anything, I never cared either way.
However, about a month ago I discovered their very first eggs. I even caught them in the act of spawning, transporting, and pasting the eggs on the glass over several passes. Cool.
I now have a bunch of albino fry. A few days ago, there was another spawn, mostly infertile, but I managed to get another 15 or so fry. They seem to grow pretty fast compared to my Tangs at least.
I don't know what changed in the tank that made them shift gears, except maybe that the sand is less busy with other fish (no more BN fry roaming around) or that I have stretched out my WC schedule a bit lately...hmm.

Anyone interested in albino cories?
