compatibility ?'s

So... I'm redoing my 75 and ordered some juvenile heros. They will be alone in the tank with some misc pleco's. I was wondering how the heros would go with a school of tetras like rummy nose or serpae? Im sure they will be fine as adolescents, but once they get bigger I'm not so sure. Or maby if they are raised together the results may be different. Im also planning to upgrade to a bigger tank hopefully this year to give them more space. maby a 5ft =]]

Anyways...should i pass on the tetras? I don't want to get in over my head and over stock this tank. But if i did go with dithers I'd like to stay with something smaller. I like the look of contrast in size like discus with tetras.

Heros like severums?

If so, any smaller tetra would be a snack for them. I've tried. Maybe not at first, but as soon as the sevs reach 3-4", they will pick them off slowly over time.

You could go with larger dithers like silver dollars, giant danios, or rainbow fish. Even some of the deeper bodied tetras might do okay if they are adult size when you put them in with the sevs.

I want to try some type of tetra for sure. I was thinking maby diamond or Colombian or bleeding heart tetras. I have not tried any of these yet before. Woild they be good choices? Maby silver dollars when I get a bigger tank.

I agree the danios and rainbows would make great dithers, but I'd like to try something new for me.... and I just sold all my rainbows lol. I like rainbows so much I want a rainbow specific tank hehe.

Ps. just got the seves in the mail 5 mins ago and am about to unbox them. there are supposed to be about 2"
