thinking about buying a pair of wild caught from Peru. Any keepers with pictures or advice...they'd go in the 180 I'm picking up.

I've kept them over the years. They are fun fish, gentle giants. I'd go for it if you aren't going to have other, angry tankmates.

Been a while since I kept firemouths, but based on memory, and the size of your tank, I think this could work.

They would be great with those tank mates in a 180. I'd only do one of the thorichthys species, though.
