I was wondering why some fish looked like they were squished...were they stripped from the mother to soon?

from 2 red zebra, I watched them spawn. Some are brown others are red, and a few have camel humps like this one

Culling is destroying unwanted offspring. If you get them small enough it can be done easily by feeding them to pretty much any adult fish that is carnivorous.

Oooo ok I think I'll go feed my fish a few fry that are starting to look like that...the one in the picture is about 3 in, is that something a piranha could eat?

it can be genetic if the gene pool is to shallow. . . Try a different male or female from another line of the same species

You could feed that one to your piranhas!!! I used to feed mine pool comets! I miss those fish. But ya thats not something the fish is supposed to do is have that hump. If there's more its probably too closely bred.
