Calvus Question

I have 10 yellow calvus all about 1.5 inches.

I have had them in a 20 gallon tank for about 2 months now and I never see them. They are either hiding in the whelk shells or back in the rocks. When I say I don't see them I mean out swimming around, if I take a flashlight and look back in to the rocks I see them so I know they are alive.

Is this normal for them?

Water is at 79 degrees, pH is 8.0 Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0, doing 30% water changes every week Feeding NLS grow.

They will be moving to a 50 gallon tank here in the next two weeks.

they are just shy. It might help to add dither fish, which will make them feel safe and come out more. guppies, white clouds, rainbow fish tetras all work well as dithers but may get beat up once the calvus are comfortable.

Agree with Jose and Caleb. Definitely normal behaviour IME. Paracyps were my choice of dithers and not only did they do the trick, they're amazingly beautiful fish ;)
