Bye Bye Baby Vics

I've had a breeder basket haning in my Mbuna/Vic tank for a short while now, growing out 6 little Vics. They'd made it to about 1/4" and I had intended to move them to their own 10 gal tank last weekend, but "life happened" and I didn't get around to it. It's on my to-do list for this weekend.

Well, last night, I came home to find THREE adult Vics INSIDE the breeder basket....and no babies. <sigh>

Lesson learned. Fortunately, the female is holding again.

I try to grow out fry in baskets in empty tanks... In tanks with fish, I've had that happen more times than I'd like to admit

Same boat for me. Almost every time I have tried to grow out fry in a tank with adults they end up disappearing.
