Breeders Program

OK, I have not seen much action in the Breeders Award Program. After the first of the year I am going to get serious. I am going to start breeding my fish and getting them recognized. I am going to have to make someone drive down to Calvert County and verify (might buy lunch!).

I CHALLENGE all members!! Lets see who has what it takes. I wont cheat either (and use fish we have in our warehouse). I will actually buy all of my groups. That should make it fair. I would also suggest that we try to breed some of the Red List fish as well. Good for us and even better for the fish (look into the ACA C.A.R.E.S. program).

Any takers? :angry3: :FIREdevil:

Wow, three days and no takers.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours....lol... :D
I will come to your house if you come and check mine.

I have added no points in over a year because no one will come up here. I have
several to be checked

Polits,
Ngara
Albino Ngara
Sulpher heads,
Yellow labs,
Vic Haps, Ruby green
Copadichromis Tr.
All since the last time someone checked. :jumpy:

What we need is someone in the middle. I am at the north end, you are at the south end of Md.

I still have the same two to have checked

Cynotilapia afra (Puulu)
Aulonocara stuartgranti (Chilumba)

Trying to decide what other groups to get. Put up another rack with 16 20's.

Any way to get a currnt standing? So I know how hard I have to work to catch up? I think I had 60 points before last months meeting.

Alright, now we are getting somewhere. Steve needs to make sure he keeps up with us now. I only have 2 species (starting at a sever disadvantage). I just signed for something like 6 species for Pat, I think he wants to be a Grand Master. Lets all do this the right way and write small articles on our success or failure. Just maybe we can get some others interested in breeding their fish. For the most part it is not very difficult (I said for the most part).

Well, I think I might try.... But I've got to get some things sorted out first and the fish room (ie, the whole damn house) sorted out. Currently, I have Convicts, Bolivian Rams, Discus, and oodls and oodls of Angelfish fry. If I did the whole thingy and got them approved, how many points would they get me? I'm not great on the scientific names..... I think about 70 ish points perhaps?.....

So I gotta question. I currently have all those fish in tanks being Parentraised. Even the Angelfish! And do I get extra points for raising Smoky, Koi, Silver, Blushing, Halfblack, and Sunset blushing Angelfish???? Or by color morph do you mean a color not seen in the hobby? I think I might have one of those in Angelfish as well..... And does the fact that my convicts are pink a bad thing? And I'm not sure if they are hybrids or not..... I got them from two different parts of the country and they LOOK the same..... more or less.

Later!
Amanda.

I can't remember, now . . . do we count angelfish?
:)
Amanda, I'm probably going to need some more information about these. Are they recognized as distinct color morphs?
