Box of bullets

I'm moving into a house where the previous tenant left behid a box of rifle ammunition (Winchester .270 softpoint, I think). Anyone know how you're supposed to dispose of these? If I had a rifle to match I'm pretty sure I could be rid of them and have some fun doing it... But lacking that I gotta figure something else out.

Buy the Rifle; join Izak Walton; Go have some fun. I would take them but I only have a M4. Drop them off at your police local station. They will have them destroyed.

+1. Live like 5 minutes from the IWL in Germantown and been meaning to do it the last couple of years. Can't beat rifle/pistol/trap fields that close for essentially free.... especially in Montgomery County.

That's a pretty uncommon round. Kind of a big-boy cartridge mostly for deer and elk, depending on the number of grains.

I've got a few firearms myself, but don't actually know anyone who has a .270.

Thanks though. :)

I have a .270, would be happy to take them off your hands at the meeting Saturday. Now if my wife could just remember where she put the key for the gun cabinet...
