Tony,

A Magnum-X Umbee is a F1 Umbee bred from UmbeeKing. The father is a lake Guatape WC fish formally location X. And the female is a WC Rio Magdalena. These fish together make three Magnum-X Umbee. I have 4 myself stunning at 3".

Nick you beat me to it. I requested pics of these beasts in your other thread.

Guess the secrets are for personal gain. But the dispersion of the fish are for every ones gain. Or at least the people interested in these beasts.

Not sure what they go for at the moment. But I paid 15$ a fish at 1". Not too bad if you ask me the trick is to get cheap shipping from California. I never got a quote for anything under 175$ for overnight. Add 10$ for box styro and heat pack. Takes 90$ for a group of 6 pricing and makes it 275$ for the entire group. That makes them 46$ a piece cost only. I know that I don't have any that are less than 2" buying from someone that has growouts seems like a good idea... but you may make out better if you contact Chris (UMBEEKING) yourself. I currently have 8 Gorillus Black sp. San Rapheal . And they are growing fast once I have two established pairs I will look to move the cast offs. But there is a line already for them of friends that have first dibs. And I may hold onto as many as possible until I get a pair to spawn. That could be 9 months to a year down the road.

Nick has as many as I do he would be your only other option in our area that I know of. But I would think your looking at 60-80$ a fish at 2-3" and locally supplied.
Good luck and let us know if you grab some from Chris I would love to see another gorilla keeper on the forum.

I've seen his videos many times but I never found out where he lived or what his email was. I'd love to order from him. Is a 125 a good enough tank for some? I heard they have different growth rates than the regular blues.

They will out grow a 125 in a year. Maybe 18 months if your lucky. My gorillas have doubled in size since April. Just to give an idea how they grow. Got my Gorilla blues at 2-3" biggest is 6" and smallest is 4".
