Black ghost knifes

I have been thinking about setting up a tank with a few black ghost knifes. Does anyone have any experience or advice about caring for them?

They are mildly conspecific aggressive. They dont do well with other fish who use electrical signals for location purposes. For these reasons, only one per tank is advised and don't house them with elephant nose.

Both navigate with weak electrical fields. In the confines of an aquarium they can interfere with each other.

Yes keep one per tank,(more than one is ok when small) I had mine with angels, dwarf auzzi rainbows,rummy-nose and white clouds ..only problem I had was that my ghost was about 9 inches long and couple of my white clouds disappeared, they are fun to watch and add a unique look to the tank. If you have a reg hang on filter,make sure it has a sponge on it though or it will get trapped due to they like to hang around the water flow.(or at-least in my experience)
