Black Belts and salt?

I have been reading some stuff on black belts and some sources say they will "tolerate brackish and marine conditions". I have kept mine in pure freshwater since I got them, but wouldn't mind making them brackish-I have tons of sea salt around and I could then put my Anableps in with them. I know the BBs have a large range in nature. I also know the definition of "tolerate" varies from source to source, so the question is, will they do better in brackish water?

Yeah they can be seen in pure salt water off the coast in the wild.

I would say they can tolerate a wide range of salinity.

If you can keep a brackish water tank stable they will do fine. Basically if you do not juggle the water chemistry to much they should be fine. I would not keep them in a full salt water tank for long periods.

They will thrive simply with a varied diet and stable clean water.
