Anyone have discus or uaru?

Discus Hans is without a doubt the place to go for Discus. I haven't seen any uaru available recently, but keep an eye on Tangled Up In Cichlids list. Jeff gets them from time to time.

I think Michael O'Shea may have his red heads breeding. Matt Q. may also have some juvies available. Jeff Rapps has them on his list and will be at AquaMania.

My red-heads have started breeding, but I haven't had a chance to try and collect fry yet. Matt (dogofwar) did have fry last I knew, but not sure if they are still available.

My group came from Jeff Rapps about a year ago, and I would highly recommend him as a source. They look great, have been healthy, and will eat nearly anything. You may still be able to contact him and have him bring them down, and the price is very reasonable.

Red heads..

Please keep me in mind in the future when you have fry large enough to rehome. Would be interested in 6 or so to start a little group..

I will check out Jeff too..

Thanks! -marc

If you don't find them from a more convenient source I have some red head geo juvies, haven't measure them but probably inch and a quarter to inch and a half or so. Trouble is I'm north of Lewisburg, WV, few hours away from you (and while I've bred fish for years, I've yet to take the plunge into shipping). I'm actually getting some local interest in them, but I occasionally make a visit to Staunton, VA, two hours from me, so if you decided you wanted a few we might be able to work out a meet.

Geos..

Ok.. sounds great.. Not afraid to drive. I will be lurking this weekend at Aquamania to see what I can find as well..

If you like the Geos, you might be interested in some of MY fry.. I have some Lethrinops (very much like Geos in my opinion) growing currently and Copadichromis Mloto Ivory Head as well (quite a bit different)

I will keep you in mind.. Thanks again!

Just pm me if you end up wanting some and we can figure something out. No hurry for my sake, as I wouldn't mind letting them get more size to them (I do have a couple of locals interested, but doubt they'd take them all). Doesn't mean I'm looking for a lot for them, since I'm also growing out some Kapampa gibberosa juvies from a spawn last year (and they'll be worth some money).

As far as the lethrinops and mloto, I used to breed haps (including mloto, one of my favorite Malawis) and peacocks (although I never got around to lethrinops), but after something like 18 years breeding Africans I was ready for a change and traded and sold them all (except the Kapampa) and went back to doing mainly South Americans, more or less where I started with fish.
