I've relativly new at this but have have several successful spawns to quarter size batches.

My current batch is at day 7 from spawning a few are free swimming the rest are all stuck together is this typical? I've even tried to blow them apart (lightly) w/ a turkey baster and they still stick together.

the smaller ones like double darks might need help but i have no idea what your set up is... did you leave them with the parents? did you use methalene blue? are they in bottled water?

Gold Angels
Hatched away from parents(they eat the eggs) in a 2 gallon bowl (inside a heated 20 Gallon tank)
  • Meth Blue
  • airation
  • after the wigglers fall off the slate (day 3) I begin 50% daily water changes using water from the 20 gallon
  • only 2 dead wigglers were removed
Any suggestions? should I continue to gently try to separate them with the water stream from a turkey baster or will they free themselves? I've never had this many stuck together in bunches of 10-20. I've had some stuck together by what looks like a filament string in previous spawns, but these are stuck to each other.
