I referenced some links today and wanted to make sure every got them (I will be posting a separate thread for the filter it seems a lot of people were interested in, it will be in the DIY subforum)

www.angelfish.net good resource and a couple of members are working on creating new lines

www.simplydiscus.com is the best site I have ever seen on fish. No site has as in depth knowledge on diseases and the different medicines to treat fish.

www.angelplus.com has good prices on some medicines that are hard to find as well as food. The Life Stages pellets are particularly good and best of all CHEAP

Doug, it was my first meeting and I thoroughly enjoyed the information you gave about angels. Not really a fish I thought about keeping, but I left with 4.

Had a question about how you breed for selective traits/focus. Can you choose a male and female with your desired traits and put them together with reasonable expectations that they will spawn? I heard you say that they will separate into pairs when put into a large tank, but wasn't sure how that would work if you wanted a particular male to spawn with a particular female. Just curious.

I missed the presentation as I had to leave early to prevent my fish order from freezing.. Is this open cell foam the same thing as poret foam that swisstropicals sell? I'm interested in trying a HMF approach with my fry and grow out tank..

Hahaha.. Live fish.. Just didn't want to take the chance of them dying in the cold.. I thought my order was going to be in one box.. Apparently came in three..lol.. I got some nice fish from jay.. Will post pics..

yes, it is the same foam. It is readily available, just ensure it is without flame retardant. There are many manufacturers and you can get pretty much any density (PPI) you want. I can bring some to AM2, just need to figure a price and can cut to yours (or anyones) dimensions.

Oh.. Looks like I missed a good lecture.. what's the density on yours? I am looking for 3 13x13 pieces.. How much would that cost?

Oh..I see.. That was a little more than I expected since swisstropicals sells the 3" 13x13 at $20 and a 4" 13x13 at $26..or did you mean 4x4 as in 48"x48"?
