Advice on Egg Tumber

Hi everyone... Can you tell me how long I should wait to use my egg timber ? When is the earliest day or safe day to strip my females?... I'm asking because a few of my females keep spitting out their eggs... Thanks for your support!

What kind of cichlids do you have? Are they spitting eggs or fry?

I usually try to catch them after they hatch, but it may be a few days before free swimming.

I have all peacocks cichlids; my males are a little aggressive.. Some of my females usually spit out the eggs anywhere from 3 days to a little over a week... Thanks

If they are spitting at less than a week, I would separate them so they aren't harassed.

What size are your tanks?

Different size tanks .., from a 265 to 40 gallon... I have tried to separate the females but no luck.. I guess what I need to know is when is the earliest day that I can strip a holding females? Hours? Days? Weeks? Thanks
