Action Albino Foes

As many members did today, I stopped over at Scales on the way home and bought a couple fish.

One was a beautiful adult male Albino Aulonocara Baenschi.

Instead of putting him in a growout tank, he went straight into the all males hap/peacock 120g. I was concerned that some of the bigger and more established peacocks would give him a cold welcome. To my surprise, it was the other albino peacock (smallest fish in the tank) that was his challenger.

Here are few neat action shots.

He notices a possible challenge coming his way...

But, certainly this smaller guy can't be that intimidating...

So, he decides to show his bigger mouth...

But the little guy is full of spunk...

And then the lip locks begin...

Those are micro bubbles from all the thrashing...

Things calmed down after about a half hour of aggression...

Great photos!!!!
I love the action in the pics!!

Do you take photos of people?
Thanks.

Normally only those that fit in an aquarium

Seriously, I haven't spent much time with portraits or "people" type shots for now. Still practicing on fish. They are much less critical with the results. ;)

Next challenge will be real estate work. Using ultra wide angle lens for interiors and architectural shoots.

I thought it was pretty neat too. I took about thirty shots of them going at it. Unfortunately, the other fish kept getting in the way.

How do you like the contrast colors of the two Pat?

Here is the older little guy isolated from the battle scene. He is really pink and white.

Looks like someone needs to eat more.

I guess that explains his smaller size too. He has always had to compete for food with the bigger guys who can see better. Although he is still eating, I am suspecting a case of bloat. It has been this way for several months now. :(

Wonderful photos, Bobby! Really outstanding. What kind of equipment do you use? That's a black background on the tank?

Thanks for sharing. :)
