ACA convention is a long way this year. I am planning on going.

Who else will make the trip to California.

We plan to fly into San Fran on Sunday do the touristy things and drive up to Sac. on Wendesday and fly out Sunday before the auction. First auction I'll have missed in 12 years, but this way I won't have to deal with any fish.

Yeah, we are also flying into San Fran but on Monday. Spend Tuesday there, Wed up north with the Red woods, I think, then into Sac on wed night.
Have not set up where we are staying on Monday or Tuesday yet. On the fly I guess.
Flying back out late Sunday night.
I wanted to fly in on Sunday also but son's wedding is Saturday evening so Sunday will be busy and recoup.

Ken, I will wave to your house when I fly over. My flight is BWI to Atlanta to San fran.
Direct flights were too much money.

Have not looked for Hotel in San Fran yet. Need to do that. Just want to figure out where I am going each day first.

Do it fast Pat ... san fran can get quite expensive if you wait till the last minute during the summer. Infact... there have been times I couldn't even find a hotel.

I ended up getting a Days in outside of San Francisco for the first 2 nights. At the beach like 10 miles from downtown.

Still debating on the rental car. Get a regular car or pay an extra hundred bucks for the week and get a convertible to drive down along the Pacific Coast Highway.

convertible .... the drive is one of the prettiest drives in the country you can do ! If you have time... go down to Montery and go on the 17 mile drive.... I spent a summer on the 17 mile drive ( i think that's what it's called it's been a while lol )... 2 min from pebble beach golf course.... Only place that I've ever been that compares to Montery is New Zealand. Most people go to carmel.... and well.... Montery is SO MUCH NICER !

Am planning to go down to the aquarium at this point.
Still torn about the car though. Got to hurry up and decide.

You won't be dissapointed. I was there when it first opened YEARS ago :unsure: I've heard they are doing really well with their research on sharks.... Hopefully it's still top notch.

I bouhgt mine so far in advance I got direct flights for $338 a person. :) Ken
