ABN Breeding

Ok got a question on ABN breeding well not breeding but well........

I have a tank set up for tangs which has calvus and Strepsi in it along with 4 ABN.

I have welk shells in the tank for the female calvus but it appears that the pleco has decided to chase the calvus out of the shell and lay eggs, I am assuming these are eggs as the male is on the shell constantly and there is a yellowish coating on the inside of the shell that was not there before. and the calvus is not happy.

So should I remove the shell with the eggs to another tank, leave the shell in place until they hatch or try to move the shell and parents to another tank?

Tha calvus is not bothering the pleco it just hovering around the shell and would really like to be able to have the fry from this breeding especially since I didn't think one would happen.

If you want the ABN's fry get the shell out of the tank and set it in another tank. Otherwise they'll became snacks.
Tip: Make sure to face the opening of the shell up when removing it and carrying it from the tank. Also make sure the shell is intact (no holes or cracks)

All you need to breed ABN is a 10 gallon tank, btw. Put in a pair, a cave and some wood and you should be good. Like Paul said, as soon as the young leave the cave, they'll become comp snacks otherwise.
