But i am curious about something....Do you think he ever medicate his tank with this fish in it?
some of the medication says not to use on fish for Human Consumption.....

The big problem is that de-chlorinators are generally not to be used on fish for human consumption. In addition with a wild caught fish, you never know if it was medicating during the import process.

Not to cause domestic issues, but there was an article about a guy raising in Tilapia in an apartment. I think he used trash cans.

It's a common food fish in other countries so why the heck not. I dont think I would be all too concerned being a one time thing. If it was a habit then I would be freaked out by the chems. At this rate though god knows the horrible things iv ingested so I wouldnt lose any sleep over it.



Oh wait. I don't like seafood/fish to begin with....

Heck, in 50 years of fish keeping, I can’t begin to think of the amount of chemicals I've ingested just from starting siphons for water changes. Let alone having cuts and such on my hands when working in a tank.

I know someone that raise Tilapia in 500 gallon tanks in his basement for consumption thats not uncommon.

I've been toying with the idea of raising tilapia and setting up hydroponic tomatoes in a big 500 gallon tub. That is if we move to a place with more space though. I don't think the landlord would approve....
