Apistogramma Ortegai (Papagaio): My pair of Apistogramma Ortegai (Papagaio) have spawned with about 30 fry present. They are about 3 weeks old at this point.
Apistogramma Agasszii (Flemenca): while my male committed suicide via jumping from his tank months ago before he left he gave my...
I picked up a group of these at the last PVAS all-day auction. They've been in a 75 with a group of various other African cichlids (polits, red tail shellers, and calliptera as well as some Synodontis multipunctatus). I watched a pair spawning the other day and then realized that there was...
I picked these up from Nick a few months ago and have had them in a 40 breeder with a few tangs. I saw the male fully colored up about two weeks ago for the first time since I brought them home.
I caught the holding female tonight and she kindly spit the babies out for me.

I recently picked up a group of these from Mike and they spawned shortly after bringing them home. I have them in a 75 gallon tank it's some Cyps and various tangs. I had intended this tank to be a temporary home for them but here's not too much drama among all of the fish so maybe I'll leave...
Ok, so after a long spell of limited spawning in my fishroom, things have started firing up again and I'm actually concerned I won't have room to raise all of the cool things that are hatching. It got me wondering about which factors really contribute to spawning success and which are...
I got a group of these Tangs from Batfish a while back and have been growing them out. I was warned that they can be pretty nasty so I moved them into a 75 with a bunch of other Malawi and Tangs a few months ago. I noticed two turning from tan/yellow to dark gray. The literature says they turn...
I got a group of Geophagus iporangensis from our box exchange a while back. They've been hanging out in a big tank of mixed fish for a while. A few months ago I noticed that I was down to two but that they were hanging out together.
So I moved them into a calmer tank to see if they'd still...
I picked up a group of these recently and had them in a mixed tank until I figured out where to put them and to give the known female a chance to settle down and put some weight back on after her last spawn for their previous owner. They were looking pretty good so I recently put them in a...
I noticed a small female holding last night while I was working on the tank. When I went to strip her, she spit nine perfect little fry.
I can't seem to upload photos this morning but will try again later.
Just figured id give a quick apisto room spawn report for the fun of it and to let everyone know what ill have available coming up soon.
-Ap. Sp. Winkelfleck: approx. 30 fry female is F1 and a fantastic mother
-Ap. macmasteri (wild): 20-30 F1 fry father and mother are very good parents dad...
Picked up a pair of Apisto. cacatuoidies at this past meeting. The female is already holding. =] I cant wait. As soon as I can try and get a pic I will.
Hopefully this pic works, I've had these guys for a few months and they finally spawned! Kind of surprised that they bred at this size (they're two inches), but I'm super excited. Hopefully nothing eats the eggs until I can move them.
I actually pulled these guys a couple of weeks ago. I just never posted up pics. Here is one of the brood.

While we were all away having fun at The BFD, my wild caught labiatus were having their own fun. They were sitting on wigglers yesterday, and causing havoc in the tank, so I pulled them today. This is the pair I got from Matt F. back in September.

Eggs hatched 2/1/16, over 75 fry from two females.
Male is longfin, females are not.
Fry are almost 3/4inch and seem to be 50/50 shortfin/longfin.
Do these qualify for the extra points for first person to breed them?
Thanks
