Anyway, at this year's big fish deal, I got a pair of these strange golden acaras from Jeff Rapps. He sold them as "cichlasoma sp. 'rio esmeraldas gold' "
I had the pair in a 10 gallon (they were both around 2-3 inches...
...thought they were history as the eggs hatched a few days ago and as often happens didn't see the small patch of fry nestled down in the rocks. And then Voila! Have to be a well over a 100. Was going to bag up all the adults and put them into the auction because they're just a little...
My breeding convicts have about 25% albino/white fry in each batch. How common is this? I'm thinking about getting rid of them to make room for something new.
I have a tankful of leucistic honduran red points looking for a new home. They range in size from .5 to 1 inch. Available for pick up from my place or delivery to the meeting on Saturday.
