I am going to be setting up a 55 gallon when it arrives. I still haven't ordered filters yet. I want to go with HOB's for this tank and was wondering for a typically stocked 55gal mbuna tank would I want two AC70's or Two AC110's? Also I was wondering if mixing and matching HOB's might be viable...

Finally decided to upgrade to a canister filter and am curious as to if anyone's had experience doing so... Would moving the media from my HOB filter to a basket in the canister filter have sufficient BB to not go though a mini cycle? Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

Has anyone use Polyfiber batting material in there HOB filters rather than the cartridges? I've heard that the batting is also an excellent media and is actually a little thicker, more effective, less expensive and lasts significantly longer. If so, do you still actually need the carbon or...

So I was doing a water change today and my month old bio wheel filter just stopped working after I added the water. Just randomly stopped. I took it apart and cleaned out the impeller, multiple times and it won't start. I'm pretty pissed right now. Any help would be appreciated
