Wooooo Hooooo! I'm kinda excited! I've been playing with some of the tanks and have some fry to show for it! I pulled 2 female pseudotropheus polits last night and stripped them. What a chore too - had to take all kinds of rocks & driftwood out of the tank to catch the ladies. And I admit -...

    Tropheus Fry, Old And New

Here are a few shots of the newer fry and the older ones in the tank. Some of these shots are not cropped at all so that you can tell by the size of the rocks how big (small) they are compared to each other. The newest fry... And the older fry... And an older fry compared to the young...

    New Fry

I was going to play the guessing game. But it's not much of a challenge here because there are too many knowledgeable experts in this club. Anyway, Joann discovered that we had a bunch of fry in the Krib tank today. Here are few shots of them before they all get devoured.

    Shellies Fry Question

Hey you Lake Tanganyikan shell dweller breeders. I just discovered this morning that I have L. Staperssi fry. Can I remove the shell holding the babies and move them to a holding tank that way? And if so, how soon can I do it. They are in a show tank with tropheus, cyps, and other fish.

New surprise this morning in the five foot Tanganyikan tank. Parent is fighting off the tropheus, that's why it isn't in the frame.

    Cyp Fry

This breeding thing is pretty easy. Decided to pull my holding cyprichromis leptosoma utinta this morning out of the 120g tank. Removed about 75 pounds of rock and half an hour later had her in the 2 1/2. Reorganized the 120 and did a water change. Tried to take some photos of "eyes" in...
