On christmas I found the male guarding a small clutch of eggs in the back of the pleco cave. Yesterday I moved the fry into a breeder net and I just dropped in some zuchini for them to eat.
I'm really excited to grow these guys out.
Once my camera is finished recharging, I'll post some pics
Hey guys
I really want to try out killies and I've heard from multiple sources that the killies from the fundulopanchax genus are the easiest to breed
I would also like some ancistrus (preferabely sexable)
I really would like some green dragons, super reds, or calicos but they are pretty...

The common Bushynose is a taxonomic mystery. Having been introduced into the hobby in the 1920's with no recorded collection...
Saw these in the auction and want to know if any thinks there would be a problem if I added these to a tank with P. Zebroides "nkahta bay", Rusties, and Maingano

These guys spawned again. Of all of my Ancistrus, these have been some of the most difficult. They spawn far less frequently, fry have a lower survival rate, and the fry grow much slower. Let's see how this batch does!
I'm not even going to leave them in this breeder box.....I've found...
They're also sometimes also called L144s. I got three of these at the 2012 ACA meeting and they've spawned a few times, but dad ate the eggs.
This time it seems he's being much more parental (I ended up with 2M and 1F so maybe it's the other male this time).
Hey, I was wondering if anyone here has some ancistrus for sale? looking for the following species:
ancistrus cirrhosus

ancistrus dolichopterus/ bushymouth catfish
ancistrus leucostictus
I have never kept any ancistrus before, and I am basing these on the pictures I have...
Does anyone in the club breed these guys? I was looking to trade or buy them. I noticed m1ke715m on ECC has them available f/s, thought I would check to see if I could get them locally first. I know very little about how much they usually go for or how hard they are to come by. Do they even...
I have six Ancistrus in my 90 gallon tank. My Calico ancistrus who has a predilection for hiding mated with my son's albino long fin ancistrus he got at the 2011 ACA. I hope to grow out the babies once they absorb the yolk sacks. But they are in a war zone consisting of two GT's, two red...
Am looking for wild type Ancistrus sp at the Catfish Convention this weekend - L183, LDA08, etc. NOT looking for common aquarium bushynose strains. Let me know if you have something.
