who we are

The Capital Cichlid Association, Inc., located in Maryland, is a group of cichlid enthusiasts dedicated to the accumulation and distribution of information encompassing the family Cichlidae.

Our purpose is to educate, entertain and enlighten those interested in all aspects of Cichlid husbandry. Which includes the conservation of endangered Cichlids and the species of fish associated with their husbandry.

CCA is also devoted to encouraging comradery and lasting friendships with all peoples regardless of their cichlid-keeping experiences in order to develop a network of individuals from every aspect to perpetuate the hobby and the keeping of cichlids.

Come check us out! Most meetings include speaker presentations, raffles, mini-auctions, and refreshments.

We meet the second Saturday of each month (except July, Aug. & Dec.), 2 pm at the Saddlebrook Park Police Headquarters Training Room, 12751 Layhill Road, Silver Spring MD 20906. Directions
